More Holidaymakers Booked Tenerife Holidays in October

A recent travel survey of the flight trends for last month has found that Tenerife was the most popular destination in October. The survey, which is usually dominated by Malaga, has found that more and more people are choosing to book cheap holidays in Tenerife, compared to other traditional holiday destinations, including Alicante, Paris and New York.
Luke Nathan of online travel consultants Travelsoon.com says: Geographically speaking, Tenerife is located much further south than Malaga, which means that Tenerife can maintain its warm temperature all year round, so its a far more attractive destination for holidaymakers in the winter months, because it almost always guarantees a hot and agreeable climate.
Tenerifes ranking in this survey comes as some of Spains other popular destinations, such as Menorca and Reus vanished from the top 100 most popular destinations. But the most surprising result of the study was Ibizas relatively low ranking, which saw it drop a massive 33 places in the chart. Travel industry insiders believe that this could be due to the availability of flights to some of Tenerifes most popular destinations, including Los Cristianos holidays.
Nathan continues: Tenerife has been a very popular holiday hot spot for many years, but recently the island has seen a rise in the number of tourists travelling there, and Tenerifes ranking as the most popular holiday destination of October has revealed just how popular it has become with foreign tourists.
