Due to this coastline, you will find a lot of interesting and adventurous water sports arranged at the beaches and fresh seafood all year long.

La Concha is one of the best beaches in the whole Europe and has very nice weather conditions. These long beach’s have beautiful sand and stretch along side clear water. The weather gets a little windy from time to time and because of that it is a very good area for enjoying many water sports. The best areas around Conil include Chidana, Chipiona, Sanlucar de Barrameda.

Playa de Sotavento is one of the most spectacular beaches situated on Fuerteventura. The popular activities here are the scuba diving and exploring the stunning sights beneath the clear waters. Start arranging your Spanish mortgage early on

Article by Steven Magill

Along the coast of Spain you will find property that could put you into a state of nostalgia. It is the perfect place for a summer home, the winter getaway, or just a nice romantic place to live in. Whether you choose Marbella or Malaga, you are bound to enjoy the exotic beauty that Spain provides. Acquiring property in Spain is not as difficult as it may seem. However, a prudent investor will begin to arrange a Spanish mortgage well in advance in order to benefit in the long run.

Decide on the type of Spanish mortgage

Prior to delving deeper into the world of Spanish mortgages, it is best to explore the plethora of options available to you. Choices are numerous and some are listed below. You can opt for a Repayment Spanish mortgage which is up to 80% of the value of the property. This comes with a very good interest rate and you get a maximum of forty years to pay it back. The other option is an Interest-only Spanish mortgage where for the first fifteen years you need to only pay interest as long as the loan amount does not exceed 70% of the loan value. This also allows you forty years to pay it back. A fixed rate Spanish mortgage will cover up to 70% of the property value. However, it has a cap of fifteen years for repayment.

Pointers for preliminary research

There are some things that you will need to know before starting your search for a property in Spain. Although this is not an exhaustive list, it will give you an opportunity to plan your Spanish mortgage in advance.

Eligibility: Are you eligible for a Spanish mortgage?

It helps to find out early on before you get your hopes up. A good mortgage broker will be able to analyse your case and offer you advice on how to become eligible. Proof of income: It is important to ascertain whether you can get a home mortgage in Spain. In most cases, all it takes is to prove your income. Once this crucial step is covered, you should be able to get at least 80% for residential valued property. If the actual purchase price is lower than the value of the home you will be able to get a Spanish mortgage to cover the entire home.

Cost:

The second thing you might think about is what the cost of the Spanish mortgage will be in Spain. This can differ based upon the value of the home. But a home loan of 100,000 euros can cost up to 4000 euros for closing. If you are a developer and you are building your own home you can get the maximum amount between 50% and 60% depending on the type of construction. Your Spanish mortgage terms can go up to 25 years.

Financing:

How are you planning to finance the mortgage? You have several options such as raising the capital from home, hiring a mortgage lender, using an international mortgage provider or local financing. While opting for Spanish mortgage, begin your research as early as possible, whether you are buying or building a house. If you begin to put your Spanish mortgage together in advance of your actual move date or even construction start date, you will feel more at ease when the money actually goes to work for you. Spain is an excellent choice for a relaxing lifestyle. By planning ahead you will realise that all the trouble you took was well worth it!

Golf Costa Del Sol, Spain (Santa Maria Course tips)

Article by Grahame Simpson

Santa Maria Golf Course is one of the most visited courses on the Costa del Sol, Spain. It is managed so well that it can be enjoyed by its regular members and overseas visitors. The course spreads out from the clubhouse which was once to be a 19th century finca before the land was turned into this lush green course and some controlled villas and town houses around the boarders.

Santa Maria is an interesting and enjoyable course to play and offers a varied eighteen hole challenge. Apart from the dog legs the green and flag can be seen from the elevated tees and from the 15th you can see all the last holes stretching out into the distance.

The course follows the contours of two valleys and challenges the golfer with four lakes, streams and many bunkers as well as its natural vegetation running along the side of many fairways. Antonio Garcia Garrido designed the first 9 holes in 19991 with the clubs technical team adding the second nine in 1996.

Santa Maria Golf Course is about 1 km from the Mediterranean Sea by Elvira, 10 minutes from the famous Marbella and has a location of seeming far away in the mountains but actually always close to the sea.

I have had the pleasure to play this course on more than one occasion and for more information on this course including tips on some of the holes please visit Parador Golf Course

Santa Maria Golf Course starts its course with a tee shot over the lake and the same lake comes into play on the 18th.

There are six holes before the first par 3 which is tester, you play off an elevated tee to the green 195 meters away and it is sometimes hard to judge the club if there is some wind.

The 11th hole is a spectacular hole and the tee is the highest point on the course. It is a sharp dogleg to the left and it’s important not to over hit the tee shot into the lake. The green is nestled by a stream that flows into the lake.

There are three par 5`s with the 13th usually being the unluckiest for golfers. It is 466 meters dog leg to the left where you need a good tee shot to get over the valley and also to stay clear of the left. The fairway too the green and the green itself are not as tight as it appears but bunkers do protect the green at the front. If you wish to play this course then let Sungolfer help you

Always enjoy your golf.

Regards,

Sungolfer.

For Costa del Sol read Costa del Golf

Article by Seb Jay

If there is one sport that has dictated terms to the multi-billion dollar industry of tourism it would have to be golf. And if there is one region on earth that has declared sovereignty on golf, that would have to be the Costa del Sol on the Mediterranean coast of Southern Spain, or the Costa del Golf as it is now described in travel brochures. If golfing is your thing, the Costa del Sol delivers in spectacular fashion. It is for this reason why over 2 million golfers each year choose to play the courses down in this southerly part of Andalusia.

A Reason to Golf – It is not as if you need a reason to golf if you love the sport, but why you choose to do it in Costa del Sol? You don’t have to look further than the name–The Coast of the Sun. Now, if you had to choose between cold, Dickensian weather where you can’t let go of your golf club, not so much because you are attached to the game, but rather due to the fact that your fingers are frozen around it in a deathly grip; and a beautiful, sunny terrain, nestling between the blue waters of the Mediterranean and majestic mountain ranges, its really no contest! The Costa del Sol offers around 300 sunny days each year and the temperature along the coastal fringes rarely drops low enough to be classed as ‘cold’ by Northern Europeans. Most of the time you can play the Courses of the Costa del Golf in brilliant sunshine and with cloudless blue skies. With many golf courses bordering the amazing coastline you’ll get a refreshing sea breeze too!

Making the most of the Costa del Sol – The moment you arrive at Malaga International Airport, it is decision time, and it’s not what to see, but rather what not to see. The options are as wide as the horizon since every province in the Costa del Sol has its own speciality to offer. There’s Marbella with its famous marina, Fuengirola with its old world charm, Nerja with the magnificent caves, Torrelminos and its spectacular architecture, and so much more. This is in addition to the various bull fighting, flamenco dances, concerts, safaris, water sports, sports other than golf, and the world-is-my-restaurant kind of cuisine that is available everywhere.

Getting around the Costa del Sol – It is a really a good idea to have a vehicle at your disposal for the duration of your stay on the Costa del Sol. You can easily make your way to all the golf courses of your choice, go shopping, visit landmarks, or simply go for a ride to take in the breathtaking landscape. You can hire the car of your choice and pick it up on arrival at the airport by going online to Your-Carhire.com – specialists in Spain car rental services and later pat yourself on the back, when you see long lines of impatient tourists waiting to hire a car after they have arrived. Happy vacationing!
